Get in touch today to learn more about the role suboxone can play in your road to sobriety.
What is Suboxone?
Suboxone is the first opioid medication approved for the treatment of opioid dependence. It was first approved for drug treatment in 2002 by the FDA and has since been used to treat more than 400,000 opioid-dependent patients worldwide.
The main active ingredients are buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is an opioid with a much lower dependence and abuse potential than other opioids. Naloxone blocks the effects of other opioids (including buprenorphine) if given by injection. Together these two medications diminish cravings and withdrawal symptoms. In combination with the medication itself, qualified counseling is also a large part of suboxone treatment.

What is Suboxone Used For?
Suboxone treats addiction to other opioids, including (but not limited to) codeine, oxycodone, hydromorphone, meperidine, morphine, and heroin.
Specifically, extensive data has shown Suboxone to be effective for:
- Reducing illicit opioid use
- Reducing cravings for opioids
- Suppressing opioid withdrawal symptoms
- Helping patients stay in treatment
- Blocking the effects of other opioids
- Helping patients stay in treatment
Another way to describe Suboxone is a treatment connecting force. It allows someone suffering from addiction to more easily check all of the inter-connected boxes necessary for proper treatment. For example, by being able to control withdrawal symptoms and cravings, you can devote more attention to developing skills to help you avoid triggers. The counseling side of Suboxone treatment can also help diagnose any underlying conditions. These might include anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric conditions.
Suboxone treatment is not useful in treating non-opioid addiction. For example, it’s not useful in treating an addiction to cocaine or crack, methamphetamine (speed), MDMA (ecstasy), benzodiazepines (valium and others), marijuana, or alcohol.
How it Works
Our process is designed to get you access to care quickly and easily.
Click the button below to book a consultation immediately or schedule one for a future time.
Have your insurance information ready. If you don’t have insurance, don’t worry. We also offer cash pay.
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment will be with one of our experienced addiction physicians. Prior to the appointment, you’ll supply a treatment history and describe how you’re doing right now. We use this to meet you where you are and develop a therapeutic support plan that is customized for you.
During your initial consultation, the physician will discuss your eligibility for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol addiction or opioid dependency.
Our platform makes MAT easy. You can receive same-day prescriptions, and return to your normal daily life while recovering with the support of evidence-based medically assisted treatment.
Future Appointments Made Simple
Medication-assisted treatment must be monitored by a physician. Luckily, our virtual program makes it easy for you to attend necessary doctor appointments from your phone without taking you away from your regular life.
In follow-up appointments, your physician will assess how the medication is working for you. We monitor any barriers or challenges that are hampering your recovery and help you get past them.
As you progress through treatment, your physician will work with you to slowly taper your dose, when appropriate. Our goal is to educate and guide you on the taper process, and we will never rush the process.
Slow and steady supports your sobriety.

How it Works
What Does Suboxone Treatment Consist Of?
Phase 1: Induction
Once a patient begins to show withdrawal symptoms, which usually occurs 12-24 hours after abstaining from opioid use, our Suboxone doctors will safely administer the first dose of medication in a medically-monitored environment. In some cases, this dose can accelerate withdrawal symptoms if none are present.
Phase 2: Stabilization
Once cravings and side effects have subsided, which happens after a period of greatly backing off opioid use or completely stopping it altogether, we may adjust a patient’s Suboxone dose depending on their needs.
Phase 3: Maintenance
The maintenance phase is achieved once an appropriate dose has been established and a patient has shown their treatment to be successful for a long time. In some cases, a patient may be able to come off Suboxone treatment after a long enough maintenance phase. For others, indefinite use of Suboxone may be required. It all depends on the needs of the patient.

Complete Access to Care
Our holistic recovery support system is available online. Our online addiction treatment platform ensures Klinic members are not limited by access issues such as location, lack of transportation or childcare, or an inflexible work schedule.
Klinic brings on-demand access to doctors and counselors to our members via a mobile phone or internet connection. This means you have access to the support you need – anytime, anywhere.
We can keep our costs low, because we’re virtual. We pass this savings down to our members, because we believe everyone deserves a chance at healthy, sober living no matter their economic situation.
Not every treatment is a fit for everyone. We offer an array of aftercare tools that help bolster the treatment process, leading to better outcomes.
One Source for All Your Support
Structure and dependability are absolutely critical during the recovery process. When patients face disruptions in their care such as changing providers, prescription issues, or short-term programs ending, their sobriety can suffer.
At Klinic, we simplify and streamline the treatment process by being the single source for our members’ aftercare. This means our members know what to expect and are able to relax into a routine that supports their sobriety.
This is your recovery! We are your partner, and aiding your long term sobriety is our goal. Your progress is how we measure our success.
